Yesterday’s track got us thinking about some big beat albums from the Skint record label. Hardknox had a couple singles on Skint and eventually released a self-titled album in 1999. It was an under-appreciated (in the US at least) big beat classic.
This video tries to give a little flavor of how to bring together an underground event. From collecting the equipment, to scrounging up some lighting, to choosing a location, to finally rocking the party.
In classic big beat style, the lyrics are sampled from old school rap–in this case, Philly’s own Schoolly D.
