Chemical Brothers – Star Guitar
A peaceful train ride through a most interesting countryside.
(Don’t forget the HQ button, it’s worth it!)
When I was little, I used to make up all kinds of strange games to pass the time during long road trips. There was “Guy Running Beside The Car Who Cannot Touch The Ground”, which involved a dude jumping from telephone pole to telephone pole. “Huge Sword” was another fun one, it required a very long and sharp sword protruding from the car to chop down trees that passed by. “Wall Gun” pretty much involved shooting walls in front of other cars. Fun times!
This video illustrates perhaps my all-time favorite time-waster: “Scenery Radiomatch”. Watch carefully and try to pick out which sounds are represented by each piece of scenery. This one I have to admit playing even after I got to driving age… being able to adjust your speed to better match the scenery to your music just adds a new dimension.
I wonder if games like this predisposed me toward being a dj… perhaps beatmatching is in my blood.
