Looks like things are heating up on the dance floor...

This came to mind as an alternate Fourth of July video (no thanks to you, uncommenting viewers). It starts as a typical summertime barbecue, which if you remember from your childhood, are boring as hell. So our hero escapes to the land of make believe, which is apparently has pretty hot club. No pun intended.

I think this video is charming in its simplicity. It has a nice flow, and a few good (but subtle) special effects. Check out the firetruck as it exits the station. My favorite part is actually the kid’s grin has he puts out the fire, he’s just so pleased with himself.

This is “Homework”-era Daft Punk, which was characterized by simple repetitive electronic sounds. This can be contrasted with “Discovery”-era Daft Punk, which is characterized by more complex repetitive samples. It was also back before their now-trademark robot costumes; rumor is, they appear in this video as partygoers.
