Fatboy Slim – Wonderful Night

Halloween week is going to be a gentle slide into insanity, and Fatboy Slim provides a nice cute starting point. This song features Lateef the Truthspeaker (who is dope) and is pretty much impossible not to love. Unless you are going out of your way to hate mainstream poppy stuff, in which case you are a REVERSE SHEEP.

The happy upbeat musical description of a wonderful night is contrasted by Lateef’s abrupt transformation and spiral into a night of hairy debauchery. I can’t decide which half of the night looks more fun. Dressing to the nines and dancing around town is good and all, but there’s nothing quite like a night you can’t remember in the morning. How awesome are they? At least as awesome as your imagination!

I particularly like the direction in this video. There’s lots of little touches that make it gold. The neon signs (first foreshadowing, then subtly creepy), great choreography, nice syncs to the music… it’s wolf-tacular!
