There are no humans for today’s character to interact with, and perhaps this is the cause of his crippling depression. Sadly, his life ended in a downward spiral of mental illness, and also a downward spiral from the top of a dresser.

The warning signs were there for all the other toys to see… depression, isolation, anxiety, lack of interest in everyday life. His mother even patched him up after several botched attempts, but in the end she couldn’t save him. Truly a tragedy.
