It’s a tale that has repeated itself over and over again in the music world. Some small name makes it big, parties too hard, cracks under the pressure, and is eventually cast aside for the next big thing. It’s common enough that the fact that our hero is a boombox doesn’t seem all that out of place.

Or perhaps this is actually a forward-thinking allegory about the rise and fall of radio itself? Everybody loved it, but now that you can have a million songs stored on a player the size of a credit card, why bother?
