A couple weeks ago, Bonobo’s “Black Sands” was released. We at ELVAD think it’s easily the best album of the year so far. It’s a smooth and jazzy, it’s deep and multi-layered, it’s downtempo without being boring or depressing, it has a strong theme but is also widely-varied… it’s just all-around great.

The singles seem to be highlighting the vocal tracks. While Andreya Triana’s vocals are amazing, they are actually just the icing on a very rich cake.

This video is a few months old now, but I like it a lot. Partly I’m just a sucker for long continuous shots, and partly Triana’s sensual vocals and presence just makes it hard to look away.
