Another Chemical joint this week, but how could I ignore the plight of the blue-collar assembly line worker in a “Work”-themed week? Auto sales are down globally, there is rampant unemployment in the sector, and giant orange machines are on the attack.

Of course, it’s actually never made clear what these machines want. Maybe they’re getting laid off too, and they’re just wandering around looking for work as a barista or something. It doesn’t have to be all “The Machinist” meets “Maximum Overdrive”.

If you look closely, Tom & Ed appear as a desktop background. Also, the exercise video at the beginning is a parody of the (in)famous “Call On Me” video (that I’m sure will be featured here eventually); I believe they even got one of the women to reprise her role!
