Fatboy Slim – Weapon of Choice

Is Weapon of Choice the greatest video of all time? Perhaps. I have a hard time ranking things, but this is easily one of my all-time favorites for several reasons.

It all starts with an excellent Fatboy Slim track. I’ve been a huge fan of Norman Cook for more years than are acceptable to most social circles, and this track is from his prime years in the mainstream eye.

Of course, Christopher Walken is the real star here. He shows off his dancing chops with a series of classic tap moves. His flight through the empty Los Angeles Marriott brought even more fans to his cult following.

The video was directed by Spike Jonze, who also directed Fatboy’s “Praise You” video and a score of other awesome works (which you will no doubt see here, if you choose to stay tuned).

Norman Cook usually makes a cameo in his music videos, did you spot him in this one? That’s actually his portrait at the end of the long hallway.
