Don't you hate it when you dream about work?

Today we’ve got another ground-breaking video that ranks among my favorites of all-time.

The Chemical Brothers carried the mainstream flag of the big beat genre through the late 90’s and early 00’s (alongside contemporaries Fatboy Slim, The Prodigy, The Crystal Method, etc.) Their live concerts are spectacles to behold, with insane visuals complementing their booming beats. So a psychedelic video is perfectly natural for them.

Director Michel Gondry has a resume of music videos that nearly trumps those of all other directors combined, and this is the one that pretty much defined him as a visual genius. It’s a technical masterpiece, and the chaos only complements the song.

That’s Noel Gallagher of Oasis on vocals, by the way. He also did the vocals on the Chemical Brothers track “Setting Sun”.

The Chemical Brothers themselves do not appear to appear in this video, which is rare for them. They usually make a cameo somewhere.
