Visual Treats

Music videos are a great vehicle for visual experimentation. They are only a few minutes long, they don’t necessarily contain any dialog or story, and there are no real expectations in the mind of the audience. A great video turns these limitations into strengths and can craft a compelling visual experience without being weighed down by things like “plot”.

Special effects for the sake of special effects? Perhaps… but when the effects are solid and match the theme of the music, there’s nothing wrong with a little candy for the eyes. This week, I’ll be showcasing a few of my favorite “visual treats”. Don’t think too hard, just enjoy the view.
