Well it’s 4/20, which means it’s time to start another week here at ELVAD. And what better way to start “kung faux” week than with a Chemical Brothers joint? Okay, we’ve had a lot of the Brothers lately, but to be blunt, this video is just awesome. I promise to weed them out for the next couple weeks. Well we can hash this out later, let’s just go to the video and get ourselves HIGH.

The source for the video is the old flick “2 Champions of Shaolin” (featuring the Wu Tang clan!) The track and movie actually work quite well together, digitally-remastered or not. I have to assume the lyrics of k-os are talking about reaching a higher spiritual connection. I don’t see how it could be interpreted any other way.

The director (Joseph Kahn) has over 15 years of experience making serviceable videos for awful pop artists, with occasional gems. I’d never heard his name before (as I generally run in electronic circles), but I have to give him some props.
