I guess the week’s real theme was “Video Games in real life”, and here we have Space Invaders. As always, click the “HQ” button if necessary to view with maximum detail… this is one of the videos where it pays off.

The song is a pretty upbeat track, even for Royksopp. The video is directed by Reuben Sutherland, an up-and-coming director with a few cool commercials under his belt. The setting kind of reminds me of a summer boardwalk kind of place (Jersey shore, Santa Cruz, Santa Monica, etc.) Which is probably a good place to still find an original Space Invaders cabinet actually. If you’re looking for a July 4th getaway, there you go.
