One of these days, ELVAD viewers, to the moon!

We begin the week with a track from Moby’s new album. I think this is the first time we’ve featured Moby on ELVAD, which is a bit surprising to us (especially considering we had to choose between a couple of his videos this week).

In any case, I mentioned a lot of unexplainable melancholy was on tap this week, so here you go. Our friend lives a sad and lonely life, and his imaginary friends never seem to last long enough to be satisfying. He gets the grand idea to head to the moon, where he can live out his fantasies in peace. But in the end, it even rains on the moon.

It’s a very well done animation. Our little moon man is instantly likable and easy to empathize with. The ultimate destination is foreshadowed throughout, as is the end result. It all matches perfectly with the audio, and the timing with the music and vocals is excellent.

All in all, I’d give this two thumbs up, if I could bear to lift my hands right now.
