And now for something that’s just a little… off. It’s not exactly “scary” in the “Nightmare on Elm Street” sense, it’s more like a David Lynch film. In video game terms, this is less “Resident Evil” and more “Silent Hill”. Actually, I guess those are movies now too, so nevermind!

There are few answers here, just some mysterious and vaguely unsettling symbolism. Why is our hero floating through the world? Is this the real life, the afterlife, or just a dream? Why does she appear to be leaking milk? Is she being followed by an old rowhouse? Who is the woman she has a rather uncomfortable dinner with?

My own narrative places our Norwegian model as a ghost in limbo, visiting places from her life. She floats in to have dinner with the ACTUAL singer of the song, though I can’t decide if it’s her mother, her child (all grown up, having died in childbirth), or herself as an old woman.

In any case, it’s a beautiful piece of video, and I hope it doesn’t give you the creeps.
