Another band dedicated to a decidedly 80s style, Chromeo’s videos often have a retro flair to them. There’s nothing specific about this one that screams “oh look it’s 1985”, it’s just an overall vibe. The oversaturated white (with gold highlights), the weird breakdancer, croquet (playing croquet is always a reference to “Heathers”… ALWAYS), it just feels like an 80s video.

Of course, this is only when the music is playing (which reinforces the feeling). Once the music stops, we’re snapped back into the real world. It’s a nice touch that the interruption comes via the very subject of the song.
